About the role:
The US Investment Team is looking for a Summer 2023 Analyst to work with us on deal sourcing, thematic research, due diligence, and investments. This will be a paid 10-week engagement.
What you will be responsible for:
- Source Series A and Series B investment opportunities in the US
- Work directly with the Investment Team on transactions by conducting due diligence and analysis
- Help the Investment Team assist portfolio companies in all aspects of strategy, operations, finance, and growth
- Build thought leadership around White Star Capital focus areas
- Attend demo days & VC related events on behalf of White Star Capital
- Collaborate with White Star Capital team members across offices in North America, Europe and Asia
Candidates should be/have the following:
- Currently studying for an undergraduate degree in their junior year
- A high level of intellectual curiosity and a self-starter mindset
- A demonstrated passion for start-ups, venture capital or entrepreneurship
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Collaborative and communicative
Additional skills that would be welcomed, but not required would be:
- Demonstrated domain expertise in a particular sector or space
- Foreign language skills and/or international experience
