White Star Capital sponsors World Cup British alpine ski racer, Charlie Raposo
White Star Capital is delighted to announce that we have partnered with Great Britain’s leading Giant Slalom skier, Charlie Raposo, for the 2023 season.
Elite sport and entrepreneurship share many similarities. Both involve long hours of dedication and hard work, with successful entrepreneurs and athletes pushing themselves beyond their limits, while remaining focused on their objectives, and persevering through challenging times.
White Star Capital has always been an enthusiastic supporter of such talent and dedication, and Charlie is an exceptional example. A five-time British Champion, he has been the best-ranked Giant Slalom skier from Great Britain for the last eight years. His ability has taken him all over the world and seen him compete against some of the top names in the sport.
Mirroring White Star Capital’s international outlook and background, Charlie started skiing in Verbier, Switzerland, before taking a big step and moving to Vermont, USA to study and ski at a specific elite ski academy, Green Mountain Valley School.
Looking ahead to the 2023 season, Charlie is focused on breaking into the World Cup top 30, having finished the 2022 season ranked 37th World Cup Giant Slalom standings, 17th in World Cup parallel standings, and 7th in the European Cup Giant Slalom standings.
With three years to go until the next Winter Olympics, White Star Capital is delighted to be supporting Charlie at such a pivotal moment as he looks to rise into the top echelons of the sport.
